Older children’s books like this one ask a lot of the reader, from plot complexity to vocabulary to attention span, and like other enduring classics this one earns it and then some; there are enough deep ideas to can keep any adult entranced, and the dramatic intensity of the characters and setting will reward everyone alike.

Both the sci-fi elements and the scientist characters are really fun and involving in this carl sagan book adaptation - but on the other hand the love interest is really annoying and the movie should’ve been 30 minutes shorter. 

the gentlemen (2019)

While this Guy Ritchie movie doesn’t live up to its forebears (in my humble opinion) in terms of snappy dialogue and humor, it was certainly funny at times, and the twists were nice and exciting, and colin farrell’s character was a classic.
