Andor season 1 (2022)

Everyone is asking “how is andor so good??” (because it really, truly, is) and i’m here to tell you that it’s the writing: good acting and production values are a dime a dozen but solid writing is a dying art. 

The Doors of Eden by Adrian Tchaikovsky

I love Adrian Tchaikovsky and this newer dimension-spanning epic has all of his fabulous upsides, like really cool ideas + technology, brain melting twists, and great characters that I really cared about - but unfortunately this book dragged quite a bit compared to some of his earlier work - I think it could've been 20% shorter.
