Liar’s Poker by Michael Lewis

Michael Lewis has since gone on to much wider fame but his early tell-most account of his time at Salomon Brothers in the mid eighties succeeds in providing a nice deep look at exactly that, which will appeal if that’s the kind of thing you’re into.

Both the sci-fi elements and the scientist characters are really fun and involving in this carl sagan book adaptation - but on the other hand the love interest is really annoying and the movie should’ve been 30 minutes shorter. 

the gentlemen (2019)

While this Guy Ritchie movie doesn’t live up to its forebears (in my humble opinion) in terms of snappy dialogue and humor, it was certainly funny at times, and the twists were nice and exciting, and colin farrell’s character was a classic.
