Michael Clayton (2007)

I’m not sure how realistic any of it really is, I mean if it is that would be crazy and cool, but either way the sheer panache on display here in this legal thriller is really something.

Seeing Like a State by James C. Scott

This historical treatise has a lot of notoriety but I found it unnecessarily dense, and ultimately flawed, in that its focus on states and state power ignores a related discussion of capitalist power, such that altho there is a useful perspective to glean here about how a drive for social legibility can transform a society, I wouldn't recommend the book overall.

I Saw The TV Glow (2024)

Creepy slow and artsy, well-acted altho some of the monologues and artistic choices tried a little too hard, overall just different  which I really appreciated, deep and heartfelt and not afraid of some discomfort.
