High-Risers: Cabrini-Green and the Fate of American Public Housing by Ben Austen

Altho the repeated stories of Chicago betraying its poorer citizens are painful to read, Austen does a great job rooting this history in the lives of real people, and I enjoyed every page and learned a ton.
