is it a little corny sure but it's funny, often sharp, amazing to see a young Edward Norton and Jon Stewart, fun to see Robin Williams in a different kind of role than usual, and features one of my favorite character archetypes (overly idealistic Rube who somehow succeeds anyway).

Both the sci-fi elements and the scientist characters are really fun and involving in this carl sagan book adaptation - but on the other hand the love interest is really annoying and the movie should’ve been 30 minutes shorter.

the gentlemen (2019)

While this Guy Ritchie movie doesn’t live up to its forebears (in my humble opinion) in terms of snappy dialogue and humor, it was certainly funny at times, and the twists were nice and exciting, and colin farrell’s character was a classic.
